We intended to do this yearly but the Covid paused it. A lot has happened since in terms of pay and conditions including the “great resignation”, rise of hybrid working, quiet quitting and the wage inflation of mid 2022. We are really excited to run the salary survey again in early 2023, giving you valuable … Continue readingIn early 2020 we ran the UK’s first ever “IT in Education Salary Survey”.

We seem to have an issue with attaching CV’s via the drop off button or on individual jobs via the ESP website. Our tech wizards are looking into this but please feel free to email the CV to info@esp-recruit.co.uk and we’ll come back to you asap

Our main recruiting hot take at Bett 2022 (aside from being a superspreader B(ett)’ovid event 😉) There is currently an IT expertise brain drain happening in Edutech… Companies that supply schools and MAT’s with ICT service like Managed Service or annual support contracts are all, seemingly without exception, recruiting heavily to replace staff that are leaving the … Continue reading “The Edutech brain drain..”

GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, came into effect on 25th May 2018 and, at ESP Recruitment, we wanted to share how we prepared for GDPR, particularly as we’re coming up to its one year anniversary.

Next week ESP will be running a stand in the Launchpad area in the Learning Technologies conference and exhibition!

Learning Technologies is Europe’s leading showcase of organisational learning and the technology used to support learning at work. And it continues to grow in importance, value and attendance year on year.

In an age of increasingly complex school operational functions, where time to hire is vital, the modern independent school needs to be conversant in both the complex skillsets in demand and cutting-edge recruiting techniques, to deliver the best possible outcomes. Benefits of a recruitment agency”

In May 2018, the Data Protection Act will be replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). A key change is enhanced accountability for organisations that handle personal data. One of these accountabilities is the requirement of public authorities to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), including all maintained schools and academies.

With 56 academies, REAch2 is England’s largest primary only academy chain. In this case study, HR Officer Sandhya Aurokium explains how ESP supports her to recruit education experts for their central office in Burton upon Trent.

“Not only is the process better value, it is so much easier and more effective than recruiting ourselves. We’ve employed very high quality candidates that we couldn’t have found. Nick [from ESP] spends time to really understand the kind of people we are looking for and works closely with the candidates to ensure we are a good fit for each other. Once in post, he visits them to ensure everyone is happy. Nick is responsive and professional, offering a complete service.” Liz Elam, Principal

“ESP completely removes the burden of recruiting support staff. Their reach ensures we attract the right people, saving us so much time in filtering out the wrong people. The candidates they forward to us are always excellent and we generally interview them all. Once in post, ESP is always on hand to offer additional support, long after the appointment.” Prad Samtani, IT Director UCS
