Finance Officer – Ilford – Full time Contract

Working on behalf of a secondary school we are looking for an interim school Finance Officer to start ASAP on a short term full time temporary basis until the school can appoint to the role on a permanent basis.

Your duties will include maintaining the schools financial accounting systems, oversee the processing of orders, set up and monitor orders and contracts, process and record creditor invoices/credit notes, match orders and invoices and query discrepancies, make and ensure payments to creditors are authorised, prepare and record creditor payments by BACS and cheques and sending remittances to suppliers.

Other duties include dealing with creditor queries and statements by phone and written correspondence, liaising with department budget holders to monitor expenditure and reconciling supplier statements to FMS. You will play a key part in ensuring best value for the school for purchasing, searching for the best deals and negotiating with suppliers for the school.

The Package

This is a full-time position to start – hourly rate is up to £27k dependent on experience.

Job Requirements

It is essential you hold previous experience of working in a school finance position using FMS. You must be able to start work in the next week and have a clean enhanced DBS within the last year.

Our client, a prestigious independent school in South London are looking for a Deputy IT Systems Manager to provide a whole school IT support, as a member of the IT Support team with a focus on hands on classroom support for both staff and students.

The postholder will oversee the day-to-day running of a number of key systems, including Active Directory, the Office 365 portal as well as a leading role in organising and monitoring the backup and recovery systems.

Working alongside a North-West London based academy we are recruiting to a full-time term time Exams Officer post.

You will be required to manage all public and internal examinations and related administration, ensure the smooth running of all systems and procedures relating to examinations, managing the exams budget, direct staff in relation to registration and entry processes of exams and keep abreast of changes and developments in education relating to qualifications and assessments.

Other duties include training a team of invigilators, liaise with the facilities team ensuring facilities for students undertaking exams are of a high standard, liaise with examining bodies ensuring students receive any special consideration where relevant, assist the Data Manager with timetabling exams and creating and distributing examination rooming and invigilation timetables to students and staff.
