IT Technician/Desktop Support – North London – Full time position

Circa £30k to £33k + extensive benefits including 25 days hols and bank hols, great pension, lunches and gym.

Our client, a prestigious independent school in North London, are looking for an IT Technician/Desktop Support to join their team.

The school is situated in one of the most attractive and sought after areas of North London, only a short journey from Central London.

The classrooms are equipped with leading-edge technology to support teaching and learning. The school is fully networked, providing high-speed internet connectivity to the whole community. The recent implementation of IPads for classroom use and by teachers has run parallel with the installation of a business-grade Wi-Fi network.

Main Responsibility:
  • Providing first-class, customer focused IT support across a diverse and challenging user community.
  • Building and updating operating systems and applications images for desktop and laptop computers
  • Creating user network and email accounts, including ensuring new accounts are members of appropriate security and distribution groups.
  • Provide customers face-to-face support to resolve IT-related queries
  • Updating the service desk system with progress, managing communication with customers through to completion of incidents.
  • Updating and maintaining documentation
Essential Criteria:
  • Experience of support technologies such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, SIMS, Firefly, IPads/IOS, SCCM and Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters in a simple language to staff and pupils
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Be friendly and polite
Desirable Criteria:
  • An honors degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience in working in the education sector

We are looking for an IT field engineer to support primary schools in the East London area. This ongoing contract is paying between £17 per hour (ltd or umbrella), £13ph (PAYE) negotiable on experience.

Duties as ICT Technician will include user support, general maintenance, installing software, updating records, managing and maintaining school email accounts, installing/ reinstalling hardware and software and providing assistance with equipment.



We are supporting a West London based school appoint to their Finance Manager vacancy.

Reporting into the Director of Finance and Operations you will be responsible for preparing the school’s annual expenditure budget, providing financial advice/information to budget holders, preparing school spring budget forecasts and monthly/annual and periodic financial returns and claims including VAT returns.

You will be required to manage school financial administration ensuring adequate records are maintained and that expenditure is properly controlled in relation to the approved budget.

Other duties include monitoring expenditure, producing and presenting financial reports/summaries and returns, managing the schools purchase ordering system, ensuring school financial databases are up to date, managing the operation of the school purchase invoice systems, processing receipts and payments and carrying out banking as required.

You will oversee processing orders for services to the school ensuring best value for money by annually reviewing service quotes for all suppliers and services, review procedures and practices under review and act as the point of contact in relation to internal and external audits.
