1st/2nd line ICT Support Technician – (Camden / Islington)
Full time position – up to £28,000 plus benefits and mileage allowance.

Our client, a leading Independent Schools Group are looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd line ICT Support Technician to provide day-to-day support for the staff and students at two school sites, in Camden and Islington (North London).

As the ICT Support Technician, you will lead and manage all day-to-day support activities across the two schools, as agreed by the IT Network Manager or Service Delivery Manager.  You will also be required to liaise with the School staff and ICT Service Desk to identify, prioritise and resolve all ICT support and service requests.

You may also be required (on occasions) to support other schools/sites within the group, as requested by the Network Manager or Service Delivery Manager.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience supporting IT within a school or college and be able to drive, with daily access to a car or motorbike.

  • Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Windows 7 / 8 / 10
  • MS Office 7 / 10 / 13 / 365 / suites
  • LAN / WAN / VLAN / Wireless / DNS / DHCP
  • VM Ware ESXi support
  • SIMS.net and SOLUS3 Support
  • Mobile device support including Apple, Windows and Android tablets
  • AV and interactive boards and screens
  • Shared printing solutions
  • plus excellent customer service skills and communication skills (written and verbal)

Desirable skills include :

  • Experience of working in a service desk environment (2nd / 3rd line)
  • ITIL

Our client, a leading Education ICT solutions provider require a Senior Technical Engineer to facilitate client visits to support the ongoing running of their school’s network.

This is a field-based role and as the Senior Technical Engineer you will take ownership for a group of sites including being the escalation point for all technical issues within the client, before issues hit the Helpdesk.

Your main duties will include:

Providing the highest level of technical expertise to all assigned customer networks.
Visiting client sites and working through an agreed list of issues or strategic discussions.
Identifying areas of growth within the school from a Technical and Engineering front and escalating these to the account manager.
Mentoring the Network Manager and Engineers on site and assisting in progressing them onto the next level of Engineer within the company.
Communicating (verbally and in writing) technical information at an appropriate level, and in a suitable style, having assessed the audience.

Contract

Our client, a prestigious independent school with over 1,000 pupils require two experienced ICT Technicians to join their established IT team and provide a full range of technical support across their school sites.

Reporting to the Helpdesk Manager, the ICT Technicians will assist in the administration and maintenance of the school’s IT systems by providing 1st / 2nd line support to users.  This will include the appropriate resolution of tickets and ensuring the communication of progress to service users in line with departmental SLAs.
