Our client, a leading managed IT service provider in the education sector have an urgent requirement for a 1st Line Support Technician to assist their Network Manager in supporting the IT within a school in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

This is an ideal opportunity for a 1st Line Technician who is keen to expand and develop their IT knowledge, whilst gaining experience in high level IT projects and training in both Microsoft and Apple technologies.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a school or college environment, supporting the IT infrastructure, teachers and pupils.

As the IT Support Technician, your main duties will include:

  • Resolving 1st/2nd line support calls from within your allocated school
  • Working closely with the Network Manager to support and maintain the school’s infrastructures and networks to ensure maximum service ability
  • Ensuring the IT Support Manager, Senior Engineers and Central helpdesk are aware of any issues that need to be raised and escalated


Microsoft Server Skills are desirable, along with an understanding broadly of the principles below:

  • Active Directory
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Group Policy
  • Professional and polished interpersonal and communication skills

We are looking for an IT field engineer to support primary schools in the East London area. This ongoing contract is paying between £20 per hour (ltd or umbrella), £15ph (PAYE) negotiable on experience.

Duties as ICT Technician will include user support, general maintenance, installing software, updating records, managing and maintaining school email accounts, installing/ reinstalling hardware and software and providing assistance with equipment. You need to be someone who enjoys and thrives with direct customer contact and be customer centric

Someone with windows 10 desktop, server admin, whiteboard/smartboard, VLE, SIMS, DNS, DHCP and outlook experience would be an excellent candidate, it is highly advantageous to have G suite (google apps for education)
