Accounts Assistant – SW London – £25-27K

We have a very high-achieving, independent school set in beautiful grounds in the east of the London Borough of Richmond who are looking for someone to assist with all Purchase Ledger process’, Sales Ledger, assisting with payroll and other finance admin duties.
Knowledge of the education sector is advantageous, but Sage is essential (ideally sage 200)

Salary: 25-27k + 34 days leave (to be taken outside of term time)

Permanent Mon to Fri 8:00 to 17:00 flexible

Flexibility on working hours can be offered for circa 40 hours per week across 5 weekdays

There is unlimited parking on site (there’s always a spot for you!!!), free lunches, outstanding working environment

This role will require you to undertake a suitable DBS clearance

Our prestigious client, who operate a network of highly successful independent schools are looking to employ an experienced School Administrator to join one of their school teams, based in Central London.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of working in a similar administration role within a school.

The main duties of this role will include:

Providing a professional, confidential, administrative and secretarial service for the SENCO including collating and inputting data to update SEN records
General Administration, arranging meetings, producing letters, creating reports and student tracking
Assisting with school events including Parents Evening
Providing reception cover including answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
Corresponding with parents and staff when necessary, via the SIMS database messaging service.
Assisting with Attendance (checking registers/following up absences) (ad hoc)
Assisting with Admissions enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is collected and passed to the Admissions Registrar for follow up
Compiling monthly reports for Head Office and statistics for statutory bodies to ensure the School fulfils its mandatory requirements.

Professionally you will have a strong understanding of financial practices especially sales ledger and have an outgoing personality to liaise with parents and staff alike. You will be able to train and communicate strong financial best practice to staff at all levels.
