Our client, a leading Independent School in South West Essex require an Admissions Assistant to contribute to the smooth running of the Admissions Office and to ensure that it provides a welcoming environment to prospective parents and pupils when they visit the school.

As the Admissions Assistant your main duties will include:

  • Arranging and assisting visits to the School by prospective parents for Open Days, Group Tours, Interview / Scholarship Days and other similar promotional activities ensuring that all practical arrangements are attended to.
  • Managing the Admissions Department diary and ensuring that all parents are fully informed about the School’s terms and conditions and that they pay the relevant registration fees and deposits before pupils enter the School.
  • Ensuring that all contact with prospective parents, agents, and feeder schools is professional and of the highest quality.
  • Providing the Communications Department and Senior Staff with relevant information on prospective pupils.
  • Managing the School’s relationships with Boarding Agencies, their agreements and visits, plus maintaining regular contact with them.
  • Assisting with pupil Visa applications and ensuring that admissions for overseas pupils are compliant with current legislative requirements.
  • Administering the admissions process at every year of entry for the Senior School (11+ to Sixth Form).
  • Administration of pupil records including a very extensive admissions process and updating  the School’s MIS (SIMS). Any experience of this software is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Preparing letters to parents informing them of the results of all entrance examinations and scholarship assessments.

Any experience of working in a similar role within a school or college is also highly desirable.

As an MIS Consultant, it will be your job to provide telephone and remote MIS support to both primary and secondary schools, facilitate communication between your schools and the company, keep up to date with what services the company can offer and manager your customer accounts.

Responsibilities;
• Provide a one-stop shop for telephone support and assistance on schools MIS software
• Log all queries and requests to the Staff Portal helpdesk system
• Keep schools regularly informed of progress
• Test and implement new MIS products/upgrades
• Support the configuration and update of MIS systems in schools
• Advise customers on the appropriate training and relevant medium of delivery
• Advise and guide schools on improvements/processes whilst promoting effective use of MIS systems
• Enable schools to complete their DfE statutory requirements by holding seminars/workspace sessions

We are supporting a South West London based primary school recruit to a part time Finance Manager post to start ASAP.

Working three days a week using FMS you will be responsible for producing financial reports showing variances against budgets and providing commentary, monitoring budgets, invoices and journals, carrying out month end, payroll journals, procurement and arranging payments to suppliers and handling cash and preparing banking.
