Head of Business Development & Customer Success – Central London – up to £50,000

Education Support Professionals are looking for an experienced sales and customer success specialist for a rapidly growing Edtech organization providing digital learning solutions to schools.

The company established in 2013 delivers intelligent learning solutions to schools within the Science curriculum.

With aspirations of establishing their brand further and adding more subjects to their content, the company is looking to hire a strategic, hard working and logical professional to their customer facing team.


You will be experienced in customer facing roles such as Business Development, Account Management and Customer Success, overseeing success, support and sales within the busy and challenging role.

You will have a success and support attitude to customer acquisition. Someone who will always put the customers needs first, never selling to someone who they know won’t make the most of their investment.

Closely collaborating with the Product & Marketing teams, you will oversee the entire customer lifecycle- from acquisition and success, to renewal and the support they received in between.

An active and accountable member of the management team, you will be aware of all aspects of the business and how it feeds into and is affected by what the candidate and their team do.

Duties and Tasks

  • Customer Success: measuring, improving, relationship building
  • Business Development: Creating and identifying opportunities, structuring the sales pipeline, measuring success
  • A ‘customer success’ attitude to sales
  • An understanding of schools and how the product(s) helps teachers as well as students
  • Leading and developing a happy and productive team
  • Building successful professional relationships
  • Creating efficient and organised processes, structured and organised ways of working
  • Developing and implementing tracking and reporting processes for the whole of the customer lifecycle
  • CRM design and management  

Skills and Experience

Experience of the education industry highly preferred

  • Experience of SaaS products useful
  • Customer facing roles
