Your duties will include :-

  • To support staff and students with IT problems
  • Advise on Microsoft Office packages and cloud services, educational software and Windows operating system.
  • Manage the internal IT room booking system.
  • Oversee the CCTV surveillance system including downloading images and footage as requested and monitoring the health of the system and escalating to the CCTV contractor as required.
  • Manage the school website, liaising with colleagues for the creation of new articles and editing current articles. Train other IT support staff in basic updates to the website.
  • Provide technical support and advice for the school’s virtual learning environment and act as a point of contact for the school with VLE support provider.
  • Ensure that all equipment is security marked and recorded on the asset register.
  • Arrange IT hardware recycling, ensuring WEEE notices are obtained and the asset register updated

ESP is recruiting for a sims accredited team in the North East. It is principally a service desk role, so logging and responding to calls from schools on a variety of data issues from technical to user training, as well as giving the opportunity to specialise in certain areas and/or training.



Our client, a growing Education Trust based primarily in Surrey, are currently looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join their existing team based at a school in Hampton. Reporting to the Network Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of IT Systems by providing first/second line technical support as guided by the Network Manager and Regional IT Manager, using and developing appropriate software as well as ensuring the maintenance of school hardware.

The successful candidate will be responsible maintaining the network to ensure systems are fully functional at all times, ensuring the security of the network, monitoring and responding to service desk tickets, taking a lead on things hardware (laptops, printers, AV equipment, servers etc), installing and configuring software applications as well as managing IT access for both students and staff.
