ICT Technician (Field Based)- South East London Up to £22,000 – Permanent * URGENT *

Minimum of a year experience of IT Support, possibly after an apprenticeship

Our client, a company providing ICT support services to primary schools within the areas of South East London, is currently looking for an experienced field-based ICT Technician to work across a number of schools within a MAT. Reporting to the Trust IT Director, you will be providing technical support to all staff and students in the day-to-day use of ICT systems, both on site and cloud based.

The postholder will be responsible for monitoring the Trust support ticketing system, undertaking diagnostic procedures on any faulty ICT resources, carrying out proactive checks, disposing of any broken or obsolete ICT equipment, managing the Trust device management systems, installing software/apps as required, performing basic maintenance tasks as well as providing training and guidance to small groups of staff within the Trust.

This role will require the candidate to hold a valid driving license with daily access to their own vehicle, along with a willingness to travel between school sites.

Requirements;

• Experience supporting hardware, software and AV equipment

• Apple Open Directory

Desirable;

• Relevant IT certification or qualifications (MCSA / MCSE / A+ / MCITP)
• JAMF Device Management

You will be responsible for selling the company’s Assessment application into schools within a designated territory. This will include a mix of existing school customers as well as first time new business prospects. The company sells a successful range of literacy and numeracy solutions, but this position is required to concentrate solely on the Assessment suite of products. 

The successful candidate will be required to sell and demonstrate products over the phone and Internet as well as through face to face meetings at schools. Excellent communication and presentation skills are therefore required as is a self-motivated and driven attitude. A knowledge of assessment and the education technology market for schools would be an advantage but not essential. Consultative sales skills are required as well as relevant work experience in sales.
