International Sales Manager – Asia – UK Home Based – up to £40,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Commission

Education Support Professionals are looking for an experienced and driven sales professional for an established organization providing educational resources and solutions to schools internationally.

The Company:

Operating with particular focus across China and Hong Kong, you will be an important cog within the international sales team, providing strategic sales growth.

You will be required to drive sales demand through meeting customers directly (schools and resellers) and by managing all sales activity within your given region.

This will be achieved by seeking and developing key relationships with international school’s purchasing departments and with the academic community within schools and school chains.  All with the aim of increasing their usage of the company’s products. You will also work to seek and develop relationships with local resellers with whom the organisation work with, in order to supply goods, increase demand and seek local opportunities in the market.

Flexibility is a must as regular travel is required as you continue to build relationships with school leaders, the academic community within the school and third-party resellers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit and maintain communication with key contacts within International Schools in Asia. Communicating and presenting company product and service proposition to achieve sales growth.
  • Produce a yearly regional business plan showing, visiting plans, marketing strategies and how you will grow sales.
  • Plan, execute and follow up focused sales trips to your sales region ensuring that you are attending key conferences and visiting key customers regularly and at the right time.
  • Customer account management of both schools and 3rd party resellers, which includes range selection, delivery requirements, correct pricing, input into local activity and payment to terms.
  • Work closely with customer services and sales support to ensure that your customers are serviced in best possible manner.
  • Regularly and accurately produce sales forecasts for each key country and by key school groups.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that your schools are receiving regular and relevant messaging around company brands.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in sales.
  • Experience of working in education sales or education.
  • Candidate must have experience of travelling and spending significant time overseas for work purposes.
  • Experience of working in China is desirable.
  • Confident and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to gain trust and build lasting business relationships.
