IT/AV Support Engineer – South West London Up to £28,000 dependent on experience + benefits

Our client, a leading independent school in the South West London area, are currently looking for an experienced IT/AV Technician to join their existing team. Led by the Deputy IT Manager, your role will be to assist in the maintenance, support and development of the IT and AV facilities across the school. This will include the setup, maintenance and support of audio/visual equipment, interactive whiteboards, touchscreen TV’s, data projectors and sound systems.

The postholder will be responsible for AV setups for a wide range of events including ceremonies, assemblies and visiting speakers, routine maintenance on equipment, hold responsibility for the AV store and provide support for the school’s Music Technology and Art computers with particular focus on the production of multimedia.

ICT support requirements include responding to helpdesk requests, installing new applications, updating existing software, providing 1st and 2nd line desktop support, as well as assisting with training of staff in the use of new software applications and AV equipment.

Requirements;

• Worked in a relevant AV/ICT position, preferably within the Education Sector
• Experience using and support AV Technologies (Smartboards, Digital Signage Systems, Projectors, Sound Systems etc)
• Good knowledge and experience of working in a Microsoft based network environment
• Microsoft Windows Operation Systems
• Experience supporting hardware, software
• Active Directory, Group Policies, User profiles and basic systems security
• Ability to communicate effectively at different levels throughout the school

Desirable;

• Microsoft certified qualification or equivalent
• Administration, deployment, maintenance, configuration of MDM systems
• Apple Mac operating systems, iPads

Our client, a leading Independent Schools Group are looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd line ICT Support Technician to provide day-to-day support for the staff and students at two school sites, in Camden and Islington (North London).  

As the ICT Support Technician, you will lead and manage all day-to-day support activities across the two schools, as agreed by the IT Network Manager or Service Delivery Manager.  You will also be required to liaise with the School staff and ICT Service Desk to identify, prioritise and resolve all ICT support and service requests.
