IT Technician – Independent School (Windows/Mac) – South London

Our client, a prestigious independent school in South London are looking for an IT Technician to join their existing team and provide whole school IT support to the pupils and staff.

As the IT Technician, your main duties will include:

  • The installation / maintenance of ICT equipment – hardware / software / network / cabling.
  • The installation / maintenance of classroom projectors, IWB’s and interactive panels.
  • Preparing / maintaining Digital Learning equipment and software, in addition to identifying areas for improvement.
  • Mobile Device Management (i.e. JAMF) to monitor iPads.
  • Supporting the exams IT – setting up laptops and providing support to students and staff.

Systems / technologies include:

Windows 7/10, Office 365, Skype online, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, Network monitoring (PRTG), Anti-virus, SCCM and Apple devices (iPod Touch/iMacs/Mac minis/iPAD)

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Working knowledge in the above-named technologies.
  • Experience working with Apple and Windows technologies in a school or college.
  • Experience working as part of a team, in a busy/fast paced and sometimes pressured environment.
  • The capacity to remain calm and cope under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work in a multi-tasking team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and personalities.
