Sales Manager – Remote/Oxfordshire – up to £45,000 + Commission

The Company:

Operating for over 20 years, the company is a leading provider of international school data, trends and intelligence. Due to growth, they are seeking an experienced and professional sales individual to deliver growth and increase revenue streams.

The role

In this exciting role, you will have key responsibility for your personal sales target within the Commercial Sales team working into Education supplier and Higher Education markets. You shall also be responsible for retention of current contracts/clients.

You should have a broad knowledge of the company products and services and importantly of the international schools’ market, international education suppliers and international higher education spaces.

Key to the success of this role will be your ability to collaborate and work closely with the marketing team, ensuring the creation of sales leads and potential participation in marketing activities, e-campaigns, webinars, social media and conference attendance & presentations.

You shall be a key point of customer contact, representing the company with a professional, positive & proactive attitude.

The role is remote based with 50% of your time commuting to the office in Oxfordshire and also involves a certain amount of travel, including overseas, and attendance at conferences. Currently these conferences are all virtual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agree new sales and renewals targets and strategy aimed at achieving them with Commercial Director.
  • Work to achieve agreed new sales and renewal targets
  • Review individual and team sales performance regularly with Commercial Director and Commercial Sales Support and revise strategy where required.
  • Work closely with Commercial Sales Support to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised effectively.
  • Work closely with Client Services to ensure customer support is of the highest quality and renewal opportunities are realised.
  • Ensure that product knowledge is up to date as the portal development continues and new products may be introduced
  • Represent the company at conferences and other events, and present at those events if possible, in order to maximise sales opportunities and build relationships
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure the creation of new leads.
  • Continue to develop market knowledge
  • Work with Commercial Director to provide continuous improvement, reviewing procedures and activity in areas within your control
  • Contribute to new projects that may arise

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent presentation skills since demonstrations are the key part of the sales process and presentations form a part of many key marketing activities
  • Team player able to work across company functions effectively
  • Highly organised and capable of working on multiple leads and opportunities in progress at a time
  • Ability to use SalesForce effectively to maximise the efficiency of the team
  • Proactive contribution of ideas and expertise to continue to improve the success of the team
  • Flexible approach capable of working on changing priorities and tasks to meet the needs of a global company that is evolving in size and scope
  • Using initiative and taking the lead in all areas of responsibility

The company will offer full training during induction and further training will be given throughout your employment, in order to assist in progressing your career with the company.

This position is predominately office-based but will require some international travel for conferences and events, and occasional sales visits where relevant.
