Our prestigious client, who operate a network of highly successful independent schools are looking to employ an experienced School Administrator to join one of their school teams, based in Central London.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of working in a similar administration role within a school.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Providing a professional, confidential, administrative and secretarial service for the SENCO including collating and inputting data to update SEN records
  • General Administration, arranging meetings, producing letters, creating reports and student tracking
  • Assisting with school events including Parents Evening
  • Providing reception cover including answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
  • Corresponding with parents and staff when necessary, via the SIMS database messaging service.
  • Assisting with Attendance (checking registers/following up absences) (ad hoc)
  • Assisting with Admissions enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is collected and passed to the Admissions Registrar for follow up
  • Compiling monthly reports for Head Office and statistics for statutory bodies to ensure the School fulfils its mandatory requirements.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Excellent IT skills covering Word, Powerpoint, Excel and School MIS (ideally SIMS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills, plus able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to approach confidential matters with discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Ability to liaise confidently with senior management, staff, parents and the wider community
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, approachable

Work towards individual and marketing team KPIs to ensure their achievement throughout the quarter.
Negotiate brand involvement and appropriate sponsorship packages with event organisers and publishers and achieve sign-off from the business.
Manage all events for the Group adhering to project timescales and within allocated budgets.
Assist with the management of customer / prospect data and be an advocate for data quality best practices.
Contribute to the planning, implementation and reporting of integrated marketing campaigns to deliver new business leads for the sales team.
Manipulate existing artwork in-house and supporting the design of various marketing materials.
Work with the sales and product teams to provide the necessary inputs for campaign and event activities.
Closely monitor campaign performance and report on key metrics, from lead capture through to close.
Liaise with caterers, suppliers and contactors as and when required.
Ensure the Group’s brand identity is adhered to in all activities.
Contribute to partner marketing communications and events.
Provide wider support to the marketing department as and when required.

Well my Client is a small and friendly team looking for someone to help solve day to day problems schools might be having with SIMS.

Essential tasks include:

• Oversee Staff Development and Internal Training.
• Manage Staff Duties.
• Resolve complex helpdesk queries including secondary and / or Primary modules e.g. exams, nova, cover.
• Involved in handling and working with school data at a strategic level.
• Attending CAPITA events and disseminate information.
• To provide advice and guidance on all SIMS modules in relation to customer issues, and proactively further customers use of SIMS in relation to school improvement.
• Organize / Deliver training courses.

Reporting into the School Business Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining control of the school’s finances and administration. You will be responsible for financial regulations are adhered to and to take responsibility for day to day financial procedures/financial control.

You will be required to deputise for the SBM from time to time to ensure the finance office runs smoothly, you will be required to supervise finance staff.
