School Caretaker – Buckinghamshire – £13.36p.h – Ongoing contract *ASAP*

Our client, an Independent School in Buckinghamshire are looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure the smooth running of the school. This position is an ongoing contract to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Car park duties
  • Filling/painting cracks/holes in internal walls/ceilings
  • Liaison with contractors on site
  • Decorating
  • Assistance with the alarm
  • Minibus checks
  • Classroom setup
  • Gardening
  • General maintenance requirements of a busy school

Personal specification:

  • An understanding of basic health & safety requirements.
  • Communicate clearly to all sections of the school community verbally and in writing.
  • Skills to undertake day to day repairs and maintenance of building.
  • Ability to assist in the training and induction of new cleaning and assistant caretaking staff.
  • Understanding of the principles of health & safety in a school environment including COSHE.
  • Ability to perform the heavy lifting and physical tasks required by the post.
  • Good communication skills
  • Attendance at courses related to cleaning, caretaking or health & safety

This is an ongoing contract, full time position, working 9 till 5.
