SIMS Support officer – East Yorkshire – £16-24K negotiable on exp

ESP is recruiting for a sims accredited team in the North East. It is principally a service desk role, so logging and responding to calls from schools on a variety of data issues from technical to user training, as well as giving the opportunity to specialise in certain areas and/or training.

Our client will consider someone who could start at 1st line, IE a basic level or understanding up to a 2nd line level IE you would already have a strong knowledge of modules like exams, timetabling or assessment.

You could already be a schools administrator, schools secretary, ICT technician, data manager, a Bursar, school business manager or software specialist. Knowledge of sims from a user’s perspective is essential

Our client, a prestigious independent school and sixth form in Hertfordshire, are currently looking for a Senior IT Services Technician to join their existing ICT Team on a permanent basis. Working under the guidance of the Head of IT, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the ICT network and systems, ensuring the ongoing operation is maintained to support the requirements of the school.

The postholder will also be required to provide support to users both onsite and remotely, proactively manage the school servers, assist in the development of strategic plans on the delivery of IT Systems and infrastructure, lead the ICT support staff during the absence of the Head of ICT, as well as deliver whole college training on new systems when required.

The ideal candidate will be articulate and enthusiastic, technically proficient and highly motivated to support the school to ensure the best outcome for teaching and learning. You should also have experience working within a relevant position in ICT, preferably within the Education sector.
