The Candidate:

The STEM Curriculum & Content specialist will work with international and external stakeholders to write and adapt the company’s global STEM curriculum and create content to suit the educational needs of different customer/user groups in international markets.

The specialist will be responsible for managing the content development process for multiple projects; working with vendors and independent contractors; helping to develop and improve processes; training and supporting independent contractors; and helping to provide curriculum and education-related guidance to the wider team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure curriculum development efforts align with educator needs and client expectations
  • Support development of standards-based curriculum and content in multiple international and instructional settings
  • Review and revise curriculum for international preK-12 STEM content
  • Provide support to writing teams consisting of independent consultants (invoicing, file management support, content and curriculum guidance, training)
  • Utilize knowledge and understanding of sound instructional practice and teacher development to ensure that the company’s services are of highest educational quality and market leading
  • Work directly with Project Managers to manage and track documents and deliverables across a variety of platforms
  • Effectively coordinate and direct content development by outside vendors
  • Ensure vendor adherence to project scope, specifications, and delivery deadlines
  • Establish and monitor plans for on-time delivery of curricular resources
  • Respond and provide information related to trends and effective instructional practices in preK-12 STEM, both domestic and international

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of content development and/or instructional experience in the K-12 space in STEM education or STEM-related fields
  • Passionate about STEM education and developments in this area
  • Experience of multiple instructional settings
  • Experience of working across multiple international markets, ideally China or Asia
  • Must be fluent in English, ideally with a second language (e.g. Mandarin)
  • Knowledge and experience with digital media and the use of digital media in instruction
  • Editorial experience in developing, writing and editing curriculum materials that effectively leverage technology and digital media
  • Some experience in NGSS and Common Core (ideal, not necessary)
  • Strong communication (both orally and in writing) and people skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, InDesign


  • Successfully manage the development of curriculum products to ensure on-time delivery and accurate alignment to the needs and expectations of educators and clients
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate the development and implementation efforts across teams
  • Successfully develop and implement processes for project management and content development
  • Manage a bench of external vendors and independent contractors

Our client, a Parish Council in Essex are looking for an experienced Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) with the ability to cover a number of duties, which include:

Responsible for the monitoring and balancing of the Council’s accounts, preparation for audit and VAT.

Responsible for maintaining the computerised financial records of the Council and the administration of its finances with the approved budget.
To prepare a detailed annual budget and precept recommendation for submission to the Finance & Establishment Committee and thereafter the Full Council, having consulted all other Standing Committees and included their recommendations.
To manage the Council’s payroll, including PAYE, NI etc. administer the Council’s Pension scheme and to keep records of mileage, sickness, annual leave etc.
To supervise the Administration & Finance Assistant in relation to tasks associated with the post.
To prepare notices and agendas for meetings in consultation with the Committee Chairmen and Clerk to the Council. To attend such meetings and prepare minutes for approval.
To be responsible for the collation and production of the Parish Council Magazine and be responsible for the Parish Council’s IT, website and Social Media.
Assisting the Clerk to the Council in carrying out his/her functions for the Parish Council and deputising in his/her absence and acting as a representative of the Council as required.
