Highlights of our 2025 Salary Survey Here are some highlights of our 2025 IT in Education Salary Survey! Key Stats 📊 📈 Respondents 26% of respondents work in the central team of an Academy Trust 23% work in an independent school 33% work in the Secondary School phase 20% are based in London and 16% are based in the North West 89% of respondents are in full-time positions Tenure 34% of respondents have been in their roles for 2–5 years 6% have been in their roles for 20 years or more Pension Schemes 64%, are enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme 18% are part of a contributory pension scheme Contributions are up to 10% Flexible Working and Conditions 53% said remote working has not been retained since COVID 41% feel their pay & conditions aren’t aligned with education sector peers 71% feel their pay isn’t comparable to equivalent roles in other sectors 58% have considered leaving their current role in the last 12 months 20% say Flexible Working is the top benefit 15% value Location the most Additional Duties 67% do not take on additional duties outside their job description 27% take on extra work unpaid 57% don’t have access to job-specific CPD or a regular training budget.
