ICT Field Support Technician

We are looking for IT Professionals ready to make the changes needed within schools.

You’ll be based at home with a mix of field-based work at the client’s schools (in your area) and remote helpdesk work outside of the times you are on site.

Our client is focussed on providing effective tech solutions specifically for the education sector, helping schools leverage technology to their full potential. Our client , a successful organisation that is expanding the team looking for an ICT Support Engineer / ICT Technician to join them

Your role will be crucial in ensuring their technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and supports their educational goals. We are looking for someone with an excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems and Mac OS / iOS, management of Active Directory, Office 365 and Azure, Group Policy, networking concepts and associated hardware.

Responsibilities :- 

  • Address a wide range of ICT needs for schools, from troubleshooting to implementing proactive tech improvements.
  • Work hands-on with leading cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and ideally Azure.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for school staff, helping them effectively utilise their technology beyond just resolving issues.
  • Work with a team that values practical solutions, reliability, and contributing positively to the education environment.
  • Contribute to their Information Security Management System (ISMS) by adhering to relevant ISO standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining high levels of security and compliance.

Summary: Immediate requirement for an experienced IT engineer, technical infrastructure or Senior IT Technician with specific on prem experience in an education and windows  environment.

You’ll be working closely with another senior tech helping to transform on prem services to the cloud in a safe and measured way. Solid experience with on prem AD, DNS and other windows infrastructure services is essential.

This will be for 2/3 months full time. Starting 8 am onsite, until 4pm with paid lunch. Local parking if required or suited to someone with good connections to the South East London / Kent areas.
